The Dresden Elementary School Education Foundation (DESEF) is a 501(c)(3) organization supporting the Dresden Elementary School Community. Our focus is on improving literacy. Studies have shown that children who are not reading at grade level by the end of 3rd grade are 4 times more likely to drop out of high school with a cost to taxpayers of approximately $292,000 per dropout. Among many services, DESEF offers individualized tutoring twice a week for a total of 4 hours/week for select students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade.
